HOW TO READ THE MAP
Understanding a map of wine-growing regions means engaging with a landscape shaped by history, traditions and local identity.
The hilly DOC regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia form a complex mosaic, in which each area boasts unique characteristics linked to the soil, climate and local culture.
This guide is designed to provide a useful framework for navigating the overall map: a tool for recognising appellations, boundaries and territorial specificities, and for understanding the relationships that make each area distinct.
